Dr Chad Hemady

Chad is a mixed-methods researcher with expertise in prevention science, gender-based violence, participatory research, and evidence synthesis. He has worked as a consultant for UNESCO, UNICEF, Plan International, and Healthcare Improvement Scotland on research focused on violence against women and children. Prior to joining YEF, Chad worked at the Early Intervention Foundation, where he supported EIF’s Guidebook by assessing the strength of evidence for early intervention programmes.

Chad holds a doctorate from the University of Edinburgh, which examined how maternal childhood adversities shape infant outcomes through a range of biopsychosocial risk factors and wider determinants of health. He is a member of the Board of Directors for ECPAT UK.
