Youth Endowment Fund wins ‘Children & Youth Board of the Year’
On Friday 19th May 2023, the Youth Endowment Fund won the ‘Children & Youth Board of the Year’ award at the inaugural The Board Awards.
The award was collected on the night by Jebril Rose and Carlin Peton, two members of the YEF’s Youth Advisory Board.
The ‘Children & Youth Board of the Year’ category celebrates the Board who have made the greatest impact on services which directly support children and young people.
The YEF’s Youth Advisory Board is made up of a diverse collection of young people who are passionate about making their communities safer. Their opinions and experiences shape our decisions and influence how we spend our £200m endowment. Two members of the Board also sit on our governing Committee.
Other charities accepting awards that evening were Amnesty International and Friends of the Earth.
The awards were given by the Diversifying Group, who are a Black-led business that supports organisations on the road to inclusive working. This award represents a strong external endorsement for the YEF’s Youth Advisory Board and our commitments to race equity.
