The effects of income on crime

You are invited to our Virtual Learning Café on the effects of income on crime.

The YEF’s Executive Director Jon Yates will be in conversation with Jens Ludwig –  Edwin A. and Betty L. Bergman Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago, Pritzker Director of the University of Chicago’s Crime Lab, co-director of the Education Lab, and codirector of the National Bureau of Economic Research’s working group on the economics of crime.

Jens is the author of ‘does nothing stop a bullet like a job: the effects of income on crime‘ and will discuss whether jobs and income-transfer programmes affect crime. The Crime Lab is a leading organisation for finding what works to keep people safe – and so there is lots we can learn from Jens.

The session will end with a Q&A so you can engage with our brilliant guest speaker.
