This summer the UK saw racist and Islamophobic riots in many towns and cities. Despite being heavily in the minority, half of the those supporting the riots believed that most people agreed with them, when only 7% did. They had been radicalised – a process by which people support violent action to achieve goals.
How are they being radicalised into supporting violence? And how do we prevent this violence? Is it easier to change people’s extreme views or better to challenge the link to using violence? Join our free Virtual Learning Café to learn about the causes of radicalisation, how it occurs and how it can be prevented.
