Launch grant round

We launched our first grant round in May 2019, awarding 24 projects across England and Wales a total of £18.1m.

Entry deadline:
11th June 2019

Introduction

We launched our first grant round in May 2019, just seven weeks after we were set up. We made it open – any type of organisation, across England and Wales, with any type of intervention could apply. We specified that at a minimum, organisations needed to have a clear and robust Theory of Change. Finally, we set a minimum spend for the first six months of delivery.

The first grantees included organisations adapting well established programmes with good evidence from other parts of the world, as well as newer community projects testing more innovative approaches.
