Safe Podcast
Conversations about preventing violence affecting children and young people.

At some point, violence affects us all. For some children, it is a daily reality. Every year, hundreds of young people across England and Wales are killed or injured by a sharp object. 5% of teenagers carry a weapon, 20% are a recent victim of violence and most worry about it.
Safe is a podcast from the Youth Endowment Fund exploring why violence affects children and young people, and what actually works to prevent it. Each episode brings together researchers, youth workers, practitioners and campaigners to discuss evidence-led approaches to reducing violence across England and Wales.
But whilst violence is happening every day, it is prevented, too – we just don’t hear enough about it. Why does it happen? How can we solve it?
