This week, we hosted a special event with Home Secretary, Priti Patel, to launch the Youth Endowment Fund’s flagship Toolkit. We were joined by the Minister for Safeguarding, Victoria Atkins MP, and an expert panel of speakers to discuss the importance of evidence-informed services to keep children and young people safe from violence.
Our Toolkit is one of the important ways we’re helping to put knowledge of what works to prevent serious violence into practice. It summarises the best available research evidence about different approaches in a way that’s easy to access, easy to understand and easy to apply.
You can find out more about the Toolkit here.
If you missed the event or would like to watch again, here are the speeches from our panellists…
The Rt Hon Priti Patel MP
Secretary of State for the Home Department
Victoria Atkins MP
Minister for Safeguarding
Dr Stevie-Jade Hardy
Evidence and Evaluation Lead, Violence Reduction Network
Chief Inspector, Metropolitan Police
Also thank you to Geeta Subramaniam-Mooney for contributing to the panel. Unfortunately due to a technical problem, the recording of her speech is unavailable.

Tell us what you think!
The Toolkit will be regularly updated and improved over the ten-year life of the Youth Endowment Fund. To make sure we’re getting it right, we’d love to hear what you think. Are there approaches you’d like to see added in the future? Are there any areas which you think could be improved? Let us know, by either taking our quick 1 minute poll or getting in touch.
