Another chance - Diversion from the criminal justice system
In progress
About the project – Brief Solution Focused Therapy
The programme works with young people, aged between 10 and 15 years-old who come into police custody due to violent behaviour. Building on the emotional health assessment that’s currently offered, the Trust’s Liaison and Diversion team provide an additional six sessions of ‘Brief Solution Focused Therapy’ (BSFT), delivered on a 1-2-1 basis over a six to eight week period by a qualified Clinical Therapist, in an environment of their choosing (for example at home, school or in a community setting).

Grant:Another chance – Diversion from the criminal justice system
We know that sometimes, children need another chance: alternatives to arrest, conviction and custody. Diversion programmes help them do that.
