The conference provided support to local decision makers (funders and local commissioners) who are commissioning youth work programmes with an aim to reduce youth violence.

Caleb Jackson, Head of Change Youth Sector, reflects on highlights from the Youth Commissioning Conference.

We spoke through the best available research based on the evidence of what works via the YEF Toolkit, which will drive and transition youth and community sector organisations to deliver evidence based approaches that respond to your local need profile. The benefit will be that children receive evidence based services, leading to a reduction in youth violence.

Presenters including:

  • Rebecca Tigue (6th Form Principle – University College Birmingham)
  • Dr Laura Knight (Toolkit Lead – YEF)
  • Dr Stevie-Jade Hardy (Head of Policing and Criminal Justice – YEF)
